Amazon. com ReviewAmong library of books promising investment strategies unfailing riches, Benjamin Graham’s classic, The Intelligent Investor, offers no guarantees or gadgets, but is full of wisdom at the heart of all good management portfolio. The hallmark of Graham’s philosophy is not profit maximization but loss minimization. In this respect, The Intelligent Investor is a book for true investors, not speculators or day traders. It provides, in a form suitable for laymen, guidance in adoption and implementation of an investment policy “(1). This policy is inherently for the longer term and requires a commitment of effort. Where the speculator follows market trends, the investor uses discipline, research and analytical capacity to make investments unpopular, but the sound in the markets over the current value of the asset. Graham coaches the investor to develop a rational plan for buying stocks and bonds, and affirms that this plan should be a bulwark against emotional behavior that will always be attempted during sudden and Bull bear markets. In its new form – with commentary on each chapter and extensive notes prepared by senior Money editor, Jason Zweig – the classic is now updated in light of the evolution of investment vehicles and activities market since 1972. What remains is a better book. Graham’s wise counsel, analytical guides, and cautionary tales are still valid for the contemporary investor, and Zweig’s comments demonstrate the relevance of Graham’s principles in light of 1990s and early twenty-first century market trends. Why would anyone spend that money on something like this is my question. We’ve heard it all, and our portfolios have plummeted along with everyone. Why does the author get a big lead when the rest of the world sees their investment collapse? It is not fair! Rating: 1 / 5
Drilling and conservative was too generous in my opinion. If this is the kind of book for you, so save your money, give it to a fund manager and go find some grass to look more and more. However, it is safe and prudent, but you’re not going to beat the market. If you want to do it yourself, start by Willian J ONeal or interviews with Top Traders series. Rating: 1 / 5
This publication has arrived on time and in excellent condition. Rating: 5 / 5
I only read the comments I was unable to understand the most used by the British Graham. I wish it was much simpler. Rating: 3 / 5
I agree with other reviews that this book is a remarkable essay for those who want to learn to pick stocks for a portfolio’s value. Where we differ is that for the typical investor, it lacks the resources necessary to build a well diversified portfolio financial or mental. Value stocks offer higher returns to broad market returns, but to have proper diversification, you need to assemble several hundred issues well beyond the resources of the average investor. In addition, he must have time and skills to evaluate thousands of questions.Considérez the following in light of current market competition to gain an advantage over investors ptofessional: Piscaqua research in a study covering the period 1987 – 1996 revealed that only 10 of the 145 largest pension funds, or just seven per cent, produced a portfolio consisting of a mere 60% / 40% of all S & P 500 and the Lehman Bond index respectively . Or is it logical that I ask for you to believe that you can predict what will be actively managed funds to perform or you’re too confident of your skills? If you try to find the great fund managers who will perform in the future to ask you: what will I do differently in terms of identification of future fund managers earn, as do pension funds and their advisers? And if you do not go to something different what logic is there in a game at which others with superior resources have consistently failed? If you are really serious in finding a technique investment that will give you reasonable return with less risk I suggest the next book soon. It is a small book I wrote and contains most of the way to invest. Just click on the title to find the livre.ht current markets. Is it possible for the average investor to beat the market?
